Huntingdon Guitar School (HGS) is committed to protecting your privacy. We comply with the principles of the Data Protection Act 1998 (DPA) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and aim to maintain consistently high levels of best practice in our processing of personal data.

How we use the information you provide to us

HGS uses the information we receive from you to enable us to inform you about classes and events, arrange evaluations, and contact you periodically to discuss your ongoing progress and goals.

We ask for your name, address, home, telephone number/s, email address, and details of your past experience of music tuition as well as what you are hoping to achieve through taking tuition.  By providing the requested data you consent to HGS using that data for administrative purposes, and in order to contact you.

As required by the Data Protection Act 1998, we follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information you have given to us.

Information you provide is entirely confidential. We will not share your details with anyone.

Information provided by prospects who do not enrol is deleted within three days of the evaluation.

Unenrolled clients are given the option of having all their personal details deleted from our system, or retained for future use, as preferred. Similarly, unenrolled clients may request us to remove written or recorded testimonials from circulation or allow us to retain these for marketing purposes.

You have a statutory right of access to the data that we hold about you. In order to exercise this right, your application must be in writing for security reasons. We will not administer Subject Access Requests by a third party unless accompanied by a written authority of the individual who is the subject of the request.
